I actually ordered the Bluetooth version last night. I have same phone and IOS as you so good to hear it works well.

I have a '14 35i sDrive with NBT. I am trying to code the driving configuration to have sport steering with comfort throttle or 'chassis only' option. I've read through both coding threads and have a question...how does one FDL code the ICM? (Is this only possible with Esys)? I have Bimmercode, however, the app does not allow me to expert code the ICM module, its there that I need to code 'Icmkod_b_sportsindividualisierbar' in order for it to work. (So I've read) How else can you code the option? I've already enabled Macro FDS to allow popup and config. I can see the configurable options now, but cannot select any, only highlight. I don't have a laptop, tablets and a tower only, so no easy access to esys at this time. Any and all help is appreciated.

Edit:::::: I spoke with the developer of bimmercode and he says expert mode is disabled for safety reasons. (See email screenshot) so it appears I need to acquire a windows laptop and esys, learn the system to code this, but before I do that can anyone confirm that this is even possible. Thanks

Got my vgate and bought the app, cannot for the life of me figure out the ambient lighting. Lol
Tried to have mirrors open when door unlocks, didn't seem to work either.

Got the mirrors to fold in/out! Actually was really easy. Still can't figure out the ambient lighting though.
Do you change 1-3,4-6,7-9 with all the same numbers?

This is what worked for me. Chose the ensemble I wanted and then changed layers 1-3

door handles
front floor

exit, hit code and enjoy......

There's an entire thread in ambient lighting. Google search it and X5 and it'll come up. If you can't find it let me know. Don't search using the forum cuz it sucks. The app is a little better but still google over all.

Also ambient lighting doesn't work any more depending on what software in the car you're running. Not sure which one but my '14 stopped after a sw update as with everyone else.

A guy posted he "has a fix" but I'm waiting on screen shots through the app cuz everyone including me who's done what he said it doesn't look the same. So I don't think he has the update that we're all affected by.

I have recently gotten a 2014 x35i and I have ordered a vgate icar pro and bought the Bimmercode app, but before I try my first bit of coding I just wanted to check the general consensus on this forum: is Bimmerlink also necessary to clear error codes? I read conflicting advice but I only have Android devices, and I'm not going to buy an iphone just to use Bimmerlink!

I would so love to do this on my 2015 x5 - to modify the steering to make it perform like the SPORT mode but while driving in Comfort and Eco. If anyone knows how to bypass the system to make this change, it would be great to know. I, unfortunately, have heard the same that it's not possible on the F15.

You've heard conflicting stuff cuz it depends. Most error codes will reset by just shutting the car down for awhile. Some may not which require to be cleared. BimmerLink isn't the only option just the easiest. But as you said since you don't have apple products then not sure if the question cuz you can't download it anyway lol. Use esys or ISTA.
