Really looks nice. Would you happen to have a link to the tips you purchased? The other day my 4 year old ask me why my car is so angry. I told her it's because there's some cats in her way. Still loving this sound and wouldn't mind it a bit louder. |

I got the tips from a friend who bought them for his AMG but did not install. I could not find any good ones online that are 4 inches and have a tiny gap between the tips. Most of them have a larger gap which makes the width 8 1/2 to 8 3/4 inches and it is way too much to fit into the existing bumper hole.

The sales point for brand exhaust parts is that they are bolt on, ready to install and proven. So there is no guess work, no anxiety if they'll work. You do your research, see previous applications then you go for it and get the same result. To each his own.

Anyone do mod on E70 N63?
Awesome setup and sounds! Thanks for taking time to work this page up. Wondering if anyone has done this mod on a 2013 E70 N63? Exhaust configuration looks the same so I'm assuming it should be straight forward. Thanks

Have you experienced any drone yet? Specifically in comfort mode when lightly accelerating from 1300-1700 rpms?

That's what I'm seeing too on the parts diagram and confirmed with your pic. I appreciate everyones posts. I'll get it done once she's back from having her valve seals replaced. Maybe I'll experiment with an additional resonator but there's only 2 drive modes on my beast "Sunday driver" and "full throttle".

If you'd like to make absolutely sure, you should go with a couple of the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators (Part #1141). I had them when installing this setup and they are bigger and suppress noise further. After listening to both, I have decided to go with the bottle type resonators to have it a little louder. I drove less than 100 miles after the install, so the exhaust frequency may change slightly.

UPDATE:
After 200 miles, I think the break-in period is over for the X-pipe and the dual resonators. I made a clip to show how the exhaust tone of the muffler is after the break-in. I personally feel that it is a little deeper than in the beginning.

I personally feel that it is a little deeper than in the beginning. The Samsung mic can only catch maybe 80% of the volume and frequency of the exhaust.
