E30 M3. Why? If anybody has had the pleasure of seeing one, riding in one etc.. and has a taste for classic cars you'll know exactly why.

Z4 3.0si Coupe.

Great car.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

If I could own one BMW for the rest of my life. Assuming as a daily driver it would be an E39 530i Sport,540i Sport or M5. Take your pick the E39 was and in my opinion still is the best. That or an E38 740I Sport. All of these cars have comfort, speed, daily usability and still look great. Would be great to have a Z8 or E30 M3 or older school 3.0 CLS but if its a daily driver nothing really beats an E38/E39.

I have one of those! I got a new M240i but couldn't part with the ZHP.

M4 GTS is the best M has to offer as of yet so I'll stick with that.

With a 6MT swap this should do the job.

same problem as the E90 in the original post - that would be a wonderful car if they'd started with the fully optioned 4.8is E53, not the entry-level 4.4i

Mint E39 M5. The last dependable engine the M-division built.
