The set that he sells on eBay for $1600 are actually new calipers that have been modified. You can go the used route with him to save a little. Beyond the calipers indeed being shaved down at their mounting post, the adapters, there's also two metal plates that the pads adhere too. This is to accommodate for the thinness of the 24mm rotors.

I also worked out a deal to include SS lines all round and got Front adapters for my 6 piston M5 fronts. PM me for any questions.
Can you post pictures of those metal plates that go behind the brake pads?
Can you also measure how thick they are?
Lastly can you post a review of that kit and how it feels when you drive?
I know this is asking a lot but thanks in advance!! I'm sure a lot of us will appreciate this!
They're at the powdercoater. Should have them back by Tuesday and will take measurements

Sneak peak...almost there. Going for clear coat. And yes I wanted the logos oriented this way. The opposing sides being upside down drives me nuts

Same here... I posted about it a while back in '14 or '15 when I had it another vehicle. I tried to purchase to of the same side to avoid the "W" caliper but not possible.

Color is Illusion Blue from Prismatic Powders..will be fitted behind some black wheels so really wanted something that would pop. The M Blue is a little too dull for my liking. Here's up close:

Thanks

I purchased a Brembo Big Brake Kit from a forum member that he had installed on a 2013 E70 X5M. I had the calipers powder coated candy apple red and sold my stock brakes to a forum member with a F15 X5. All in it cost me less than 2k for the upgrade (not bad for a $9K+ BBK).

As a whole the brembo kit works a considerable amount better then stock system. I didn't expect much of a jump in performance with the addition of the Brembo BBK to be honest. I figured it just came down to adding the extra pistons in the rear and most of our stopping power is handled upfront. Not sure why the BBK is so much better but I would spend twice as much to get rid of our stock rear calipers.
