60-130mph performance?

Any one know what the official number is for our 60-130mph performance? It's said that 60-130 is the real measurement of how fast a car is, as opposed to 0-60.

I’ve never heard that said. 0-60 makes more sense to me, as that is the range in which most vehicles spend their time.

Reason is, true hp is hard to measure 0-60 due to traction issues. Just because a car can get the power to the ground better, does that mean it is truly faster?

60-130 is a good measure where traction isn't an issue and you're not in the short gears where shift times and other factors come into play.

It doesn't have to do with real world speed, just a measure of which car truly has the better weight to hp ratio.

Are we talking speed, or weight/hp ratio? can calculate the latter without moving the car...

It's not really that simple. You're taking out way too many variables by saying that. For example, the X5M falls flat on it's face after 100mph due to aerodynamics, but that doesn't mean it can't handle it's own from 0-100mph, even putting traction aside.

60-130 - hmm, kind of an arbitrary range, not typically tested by the major magazines.

C&D usually provide a rolling start 5-60 mph number in their tests, which you might argue would be less subject to off the line traction variables:

X5M (2017) 4.5 s
M5 (2018) 3.7 s
E63S (2018) 3.9 s
Cayenne Turbo S (2017) 4.8 s
RR Sport SVR (2016) 4.9 s

So, our SUVs do pretty well in that range.

C&D also give 30-50 and 50-70 times but they are obtained in top gear. Although this may show the flexibility/torque of the engine, I think this test is of limited relevance in the age of 8 speed automatics with their galactic 8th gear. I would much rather see those ranges quoted under kickdown.
