Exclamation 2017+ Panoramic Sunroof Coding...

Is there a way to code the sunroof to tilt up both portions like it did on pre-17 models?

Understood. When looking at the cassette and inspecting the rear portion it appears there are still bits in there that indicate it would still move but obviously does not. I was curious if it was a hardware change or a software change.

Cost I'm sure. Just like why did they remove the auto dimmed passenger mirror?

I think perhaps revision to mitigate water damage or failure. It would cost more to retool a sunroof cassette than it would save. Which is why I assumed it was coded shut because if you look on the sides you can still see the hardware that may make it tilt open.

No idea. They are different part numbers but looking at the exposed hardware and track then comparing a 16 with a 17 they look identical. If the mechanism which props up the rear is removed but everything else is the same this may be why it doesnt pop up but looks the same.
