Crank shaft bearing failure Canada class action

Correction - Rod Bearings
Has anyone in Canada had premature wear or failure of the rod bearings? It’s mostly V8 engines. In most counties BMW is fixing the problem, in Canada they are only if you have warranty and your car is still worth more than the fix. Bmw should at least add rod bearing replacement to the suggested 100,000km service.

Are you sure it's crank shaft? Those have been ok on the N/S63 platform.

The rod bearings on the other hand are absolute junk.

You are correct. It’s the rod bearings.

Got a link to where BMW is actually fixing this issue at their own cost, out of warranty?

Out of warranty it is prorated for miles in the USA I believe. Full if in warranty.
