esys generate a CAFD file without an active connection.
Can I generate a CAFD VO/FA coding file without writing it to the car and without active connection the car?
For example, I want to know what changes have been made to the coding. 1) I connect to the car and save the CAFD file that is on the car now. Go to the folder and rename the file: esys_folder/CAF/CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd -> CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.my_changes.txt 2) I choose the ECU and press to VO code, the new file is written to the module. Now i am reading this file again. I go to the folder again and rename it again CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd -> CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.VO_code.txt Now i have two files and can find out what the difference is between them. 3) But I need the first file to be recorded on the car, so I have to write CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.my_changes.txt back again. and i have to do extra action which can be avoided but how to get CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.VO_code.txt file to avoid step 2 and not be physically connected to the car? Bonus: For those who want to compare two files: esys->editors & viewers-> FDL editor open the file CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.my_changes.txt and save as text. do the same with the file CAFD_000013D8_003_004_000.ncd.VO_code.txt. Now you can use any program for comparisons, such as WinMerge and see the difference quickly. UPDATE: Last edited by snex; 04-30-2021 at 06:44 AM.. |

Yes, you can.
Choose connection to any gateway, then go to Coding-Verification and choose the FA and CAFD which you want to generate (NCD Trace). Thanks
