Wheel paint chipped - Warranty
I recently bought a 2017 CPO X5 35d with 25k miles in mid July and today we noticed a few paint chips on one of the wheels. The back right passenger wheel. Would this be covered under the warranty or CPO? We also have the Express 5 insurance which covers tires and wheels. I'm not even sure how this paint chip even happened. I have attached a picture of the wheel. Appreciate it

We haven't curbed it anywhere. We did have a flat in the same tire which was replaced under warranty at the BMW Dealership. The wheel looked fine and didn't notice any paint chip. This was about a week and half ago. Could they have chipped the paint when replacing the new tire?

The dealership isn't going to replace your wheels. Why replace when they can be fixed at a reputable wheel repair shop? Even then I highly doubt the dealer will do anything to help you, that's basically wear and tear like a door ding or rock chip. Just my .02. Quote:
