Has anyone seen a F15 X5 with runningboards or sidesteps or whatever you call them?
I haven't seen one and I think there will be none on the production model. I'm gonna miss them though

i think it'll be nice and a step-up "luxury-wise" from the e70. i am curious abt the 3rd row, if indeed they are planning an X7 / GL competitor (b/c MB doesn't offer 3rd row on the mid-size ML class, it would interfere with GL sales).

I hope the 3rd row is still there. If I didn't need 7 seats I would have taken a 5-series.

SOP for the F15 is August 2013. In July 2013 will be the highest production month for E70's to have enough carry over inventory till the F15 hits the showrooms.

Looking at the larger dimensions of the rear end on this new X5 it looks like there will be proper 3rd Row seats... I hope it comes with child seat tethers.

I doubt that would ever happen.....look at all of the other BMW's and their interior design,,,really hasen't changed that much over the years....I think it's functional,,but very dated compaired to the competition!

Without an apparent increase in length or wheelbase its practically impossible to fit a functional 3rd row. I have one in my E70 and its absolutely useless, a waste of $1800.

So thank god for the X5 with 3rd row sitting, it was my salvation to keep a BMW , otherwise there are not too many options out there in the german arena that gives you the performance of a 7 passenger SUV. Oh and not to brag a 20mpg city 95% of the time ![]()
