Looks great! Will a catted version potentially be offered in the future?

Currently we don't have plans to make a catted version.

Just wonder what are the numbers 1/4 or dyno we are looking at?

I've seen a modded F10 550d in Russia (ECU remap, DPF delete and meth injection) that did 1/4 in 12.17s @122.5mph! but more interesting was it's 1/2 in 18.74s @150mph! 62-125mph in 8.36s!
It seems like diesels don't fall on it's face on top range and only continue to accelerate, while 50i kinda dies down after 1/8 mile already.

What we are seeing with the N57's is after a stage 1 the turbos are pretty much maxed out. The downpipe may add an additional 15whp. Overall may see between 300-315whp with our stage 1 and downpipe. With the X5 you will see lower numbers due to the all-wheel drive drivetrain. With a stage 2 tune you will see about a 70whp and 114whp increase over stock.

Hi Phil,

Have any F15 customers reported back on this downpipe?

Does it throw a CEL without your stage one software?

Is your software required to avoid this issue?

What about heat reduction coming off the downpipe. Is there an option to either wrap or coat (ceramic?) the downpipe?

On your website, you suggest SCR adjustment for Stage Two. Can you give more detail on that and what it entails?

Any disadvantages to all this? More noise or smoke?

I appreciate your reply and thanks in advance!

We have installed quite a few of these downpipes on F15 X5d's. Happy to report that all is well customers are enjoying their X5d's newly found power.

Our Stage 1 tune is designed to work with stock emissions components. If you install this downpipe you will get a CEL. Our Stage 1 tune is not designed to work with this downpipe.

Our Stage 2 tune is required to allow your X5d to function properly without a CEL on with the downpipe installed.

With this downpipe it isn't necessary to apply heat reduction products/ coatings.

For the Stage 2 tune you will need to modify your SCR. Unfortunately I dont know the details on that. I would recommend contacting Randall here at our shop. He will be better able to go into further detail with you on that. He can be reached at Randall@bimmerperformancecenter.com or (919) 501-2090.

There is more noise from the exhaust with the downpipe and modified SCR and our Stage 2 tune. With our tune you can specify in the comments if you want less smoke or more smoke. In general you may see a little more smoke over stock.

I hope this helps, I am a little limited on information as I'm the photographer for the shop but if there is anything questions feel free to reach out to Randall he will be better able to help you and provide any additional information.
