Hello everyone, is it possible to FA/VO code parking assistance plus with 3D surround view? Is it 5ND? I tried the FA coding but I get an error (no fp could be generated from fa). If I add 5AR or delete 8S4 I don't get the error. I can fdl code fine. Should I be replacing other values in the fa? I'm mostly interested in the 3D surround view, but if I can code reverse assistance that would be a plus. I'm using a newer esys (directly for this, not launcher) and psdz data.

I have a 2018 X5 40e with driving assistance plus and parking assistance with surround view cameras. I have 5DL and 5DP if that's relevant.

Any input will be much appreciated.

I re-read your post again and I am a little bit confused about what are you trying to do? Which feature are you trying to code? What do you mean by "newer e-sys not launcher"? If you are talking about self parking feature,did you install sensors for parking assistant as well as pma module?

Hi, sorry for the confusion.

1. I'm looking for 3D surround view as in this post https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1544755. Supposedly it comes with the parking assistance plus package and I've seen people do retrofits (cameras, wiring, module) and coding 5DN but no explanation as to what modules are coded afterwards. I drove a 2018 X3 that had it.

2. I have self parking and all the sensors, module and surround cameras (not 3D view) with the parking assistance package (5DL and 5DP I think). Front camera and below the side mirrors.

3. I regularly use esys 3.28 for fdl coding with launcher pro but because of the error when applying the FA coding I tried esys 3.34 but there's no difference. I was able to apply other codes (5AR) to the FA, so it seems esys and psdz data are fine. However, it doesn't like the 5DN code.

I don't know if there's another code I should try. I can see individual codes in HuNbt like car wash view and remote 360 but I can't figure out how to get the entire package coded.

What year is your X5? Do you have F15 or G05? I have never seen this 3D view from your link on F15. I might be wrong but I think the only surround view we get is this one:

Mine is a 2018 f15. It's likely not possible. I've looked in many places with no answer. Thank you for giving it some thought anyways.

That errors means the added salapa is not valid for given vehicle.

I've having some trouble with E-Sys. It identifies the CAFD, but when I go to edit the FDL (specifically FLE), none of the titles are showing. Other modules are working fine. Car unfortunately just had another full software update at the dealer. I have v.4.27.40 PSdZData. Never had this issue before, so curious if someone can point me in the right direction to.

While we are at it, if anyone know a trick to get cheat codes working with Launcher Pro 2.8.2 and E-Sys 3.27.1 that would be awesome as well. I have all the xml files in the correct folder, but I've never been able to get them to work on 3.27.1.

FLE CAFD is not mapped by old Launcher PRO 2.8.2. Need Launcher PRO 3.x or E-SysX.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it time to break down and buy EsysX.

Edit: Bought E-SysX and everything is good to go now. Also ordered a HOD emulator to code in the Traffic Jam Assistant. Look forward to testing that out once I get it all set up.

Curious if I can turn my 2016 F15 RDC (TPMS) system into an RPA system via bimmercode?

Long story short I have new summer wheels/tires than came with HUF UVS4041 Intellisens universal TPMS senors. They were programed via TPMS tool for BMW F15 however they won't reset in idrive getting stuck at 49% indefinitely over many tries. The car is throwing two codes saying right rear not transmitting (TPMS tool says it is) and can't read RDS system at startup. System was fine with winter wheels and stock sensors. Clear codes and all tires go green awaiting reset however start the car and they go back to gray and throw codes.

ANYWAY, just wondering if I can disable RDS and make the system happy with RPA which I understand uses the ABS sensors in some way. I see five related settings (RDC / RPA) showing in bimmercode under HU_NBT / 3001 EXBOX. Haven't tried applying yet.

Will 6wb from x6 f16 35i fit my x5 f15 35d? Is there any differences between like it was on regular ones?

Not sure what differences you are talking about but as far as I remember they are the same. You can lookup by the P/N on RealOem. Check this thread as well

So for example the 6wa won't fit diesel if it's for gas originally

I do not know for sure but the part were it says diesel is all digital even on 6WA as far as I remember, so if you virginize the cluster properly it should not make a difference, all the part number are identical between F15 and F16 except last digit. Based on discussion on this page https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ht=F16&page=16
I think 6WB are specific to F15/16 platform but not attached to particular one and should be cross compatible.

To update above, I gave it a shot and got iDrive to display as a Flat Tire Monitor in lieu of tire pressure monitor however the system still won't reset after a few tries. It just says, Resetting Flat Tire Monitoring System... indefinitely.

I tried turning everything RDC and RPA related off to see if that would work but still get the yellow warning light in the IC and warning in the HU even though the system is turned off in iDrive. Saw another post mentioning need to pull the TPMS fuse. Anyone know which fuse that is in the F15?

This is correct. I upgraded to a virginized 6WB on my F15 and after coding, it displayed the correct total mileage and diesel just above where the total miles/Diesel remaining for vehicle.

I believe it's the same concept, has to be newly ordered or virginized an coded to your VIN. I'm sure you can find plenty of post out there on this if you search for them.

Also, has to be a 6WA or 6WB for an X5 or X6 that fits the F15.

Don't see a reason why it would not work. As far as it is from F15/F16 and has proper combination of HUD or no HUD.

So if I want for my 15 x5 35d with HUD(6wa currently) exchange from 17 x6 35i w/out HUD (6wb) , i won't be able to activate HUD at the end , correct ?

When swapping 6WA for 6WB, there is an adapter plug required to connect your HUD. If the cluster was not designed for HUD, there is no pins to connect to.
