X5 Rear Air Spring Failing?
2016 X5 50i with M Sport
So I picked up some tile the other day. Enough to make the back sag a little, probably 300 lbs. Come out Saturday and the driver side is completely deflated. Immediately buy a new bag from Rock Auto. Come out Sunday its fine totally level. Stop at bank Monday, come out and its deflated. Sat in the driveway all nite, its fine.... Seriously, am I going crazy? I mean if the bag punctured it isnt run flat right? LOL Kidding... Starting to think maybe its a valve and not the bag? Anybody have any real world experience? Just looking at options before I have it installed. |

Yes, the leak seals itself depending on the level of surface. Time for new bags. I just got mine done OEM to Arnott. I only got 1 changed since the OEM is still fine on the opposite side. The car will go flat in parking lots then will fill back up. you will also hear a pump go on when you unlock the car in the morning filling bags up. Delaying this any longer will risk chances of pump failure that is costly. The max labor I would pay for this per side is 100.00$ for 1 hour at the best BMW private shop you can find.
