Thank you for your detailed information, very much appreciated! I'm researching the local retrofitting abilities of the shops, set has been found, pieces are collected.

Few questions:
- did you get the set with the remote? If not - will you get one and can you code new one to old set?
- is your retrofit done? Do you have any impressions already?

Parts are still in transit. The webasto will be operated by the BMW connected app. If you want to use the remote, you can purchase one separately and pair it. Its not cheap though https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/catn-ol?q=64129371818#

My parts should be here by Feb 2 barring any covid related delays, so I'll have some pics of my install in the following two weeks, as long as its warm enough to work in my garage. -15C here currently

Thank you! I think I will get the remote anyway since I have a terrible experiences with connected app - on ID4++ unit it almost never works, so those connected services is a wasted money that I won't spend anymore.

Please keep me/us in the loop with the progress! I'll start mine next week and we'll see there this goes.

Actually lapsed last month based on time. This was more of a sad milestone.

Decided against the 6WB. Low ROI.

I decided against the 6WB because you can't have blinkers in the HUD with it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but according to my knowledge there are three types of dials:

- very basic one (the one you and I have) - narrow, asymmetric display at the bottom
- 6WA - much wider, symmetrical display at the bottom
- 6WB - full led dials

I checked that with several YouTube videos, bimmertech and other websites - and that's my conclusion.

Am I wrong?

Exactly. That's why Eric's and my clusters aren't 6WA - the bottom of the left dial isn't LED.
