Best place to learn and acquire the software/hardware? Not new to coding or using obd ii devices, but new to ista. Any help or guidance pointing to the best resource would be appreciated. Thank u!

A quick search on google for ista will bring up links to a download, I wont post a link to it here for obvious reasons but you can find it without to much hassle. its about 16gig everything said and done and you will need to sign up for a mega download account or you are limited to 1gig a day.
Then you will need to follow the instructions and watch all the videos on installing it. Then you will nee to find a decent E-Sys cable that is not junk. Then you will need to spend a few hours pulling your hair out while you are trying to get all the damn drivers to work.....Then some hours and much profanity later you will finally have it working.... Or you can save yourself much time and hassle and just purchase a pre-built dedicated laptop like KLR is offering. |

You can find self-installing versions that will install much like any windows program.
The manual install ones are a PITA and not worth the time. The download is two 15GB files. Sometimes found on Google Drive, I'prefer Torrent, but either work. Once un-zipped, its approx 100GB. The ISTA-D (diagnosis) is about 100GB installed, and the ISTA-P (programming) is another 100GB or so. If you are looking for the files on the internet, I'd recommend looking on a forum called GarageFourm. Seems like they made it so you have to create account and post and intro now, but well worth it. You will find what you want. The words "ISTA Standalone 4.31" in Google will also help. Of course this is all conjecture and I'd never condone pirating software.
