M Splash Screen

I own a 2018 Black Sapphire edition X5M (purchased recently). The M splash screen comes on intermittently. I read a post regarding that it could be coded to come on each time you start the vehicle. Does anyone have information regarding this. I reached out to the BMW dealer and they had no answers.

The easiest way to code this option is using Bimmercode app. Search the forum for coding the easy way and you’ll find all the info you need. The splash screen will only appear (once coded) when you start your vehicle within 20 seconds of unlocking it.

Since it's a real "M" vehicle, it should be factory coded for the M splash screen. I don't know of any coding to make it show up every time. I think the "start within 20 seconds of unlocking" is the best method anyone has been able to determine.

You are correct, I overlooked that part about being a true M.

My car is usually parked in my garage unlocked. I guess that is why I don't notice the "M" splash screen. Next time I lock the vehicle I am going to try it.
