I had the same problem before. After inspection, the voltage from the battery is lower than 12.2 volts and they replaced the battery. Problem is gone for good now.
Hope this helps. |

One person got it fixed by removing fuses for couple of minutes
https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1489340&page=2 You can give it a shot, doesn't cost you anything. Battery replacement varies from dealer to dealer but usually it is around $400 But you can DIY https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1626793 |

about $700 but that's the price you pay when living in Asia with these types of car

I also tried the fuse method and it worked for only a day or two, then the same problem again so hence the diagnose and a new battery. |

Lmfao that dealership is the definition of stealership. Whichever dealer that is, stay away.

Did you post the correct thread for the DIY? The link in this thread the person took their x5 somewhere to have the battery replaced. Is there anything required other than removing the old battery & putting in the new? Ie I’m hoping there is not anything the dealer has to do to tell the car the battery has been swapped out. I seem to recall the e90 folks required an extra step other than just replacing the battery. I had my f30 for 5+ years but never had to do anything with the battery. |

Mine has been playing froggy for a bit where it actually shifts from time to time as to where it's projected on the windshield. I have to keep messing with the rotation and height. Took it to the dealer who said it's normal sometimes but SA and I are not happy with the response so took it back to the dealer for that issue again along with it intermittently fading in and out
Let's see what they can do this time... |

Happened to me this morning. Pulled the fuses (50 &52) and it has reset and is fine. For now at least. I'll report back if it happens again.
Anyone know if there is a way to perform the reset using protool? The reason I ask is that my car is RHD and access to the fuse box involves removing 2x panels below the steering wheel with a 10mm socket and a torx screwdriver. Rather than the 3x plastic tulhumbturns on the panel under the glovebox as on LHD cars. |
