Interesting.. I bought the same caps as OP from ebay and didnt notice it till now but yeah there's two dimples on top above the clips hard to capture by pics but you could tell by blurred reflection

Totally forgot about this thread. Mine finally arrived (took FOREVER) and I recently installed them. Car was dirty when I took the pic, but still looks pretty decent. I recently had it detailed and then forgot to take pics - since then it's rained, so it's dirty again.

Let me see if I can dig up the picture and I'll post it here. EDIT: got the photos now

For those with the ebay aero kit, how has the finish held up after a few thousand miles? Or after a few seasons?

Hmm...went to take a closer look at mine and still don’t see any imperfections. Could have been a bad batch which da_bears mentioned.

I’ve put roughly 1500 miles on it mainly highway miles and the finish still looks the same as day one.

Beautiful choice in wheels, I'm having a hell of a time choosing color. My X5 is carbon black, really hung up on a bronze/gold wheel or a graphite shade.

Thanks and I hear ya. I also went back and forth with the finish as well. On the carbon black don’t think you can go wrong with either of your selections. IMO the bronze gives it a pop and the graphite is more subtle.

I'm actually swapping out my gloss black wheels for another variation of black, brushed dark black.

Current gloss black Rennen Forged monolicht M8 (will be posted in the FS section shortly)


BC Forged RZ05 in brushed dark black


Also considered these colours, but I think my yellow/green calipers will look better behind black
