LMAO I find it hilarious how some of you mention "class" when your riding on replica wheels, I use to run the same KW's and the last thing Ive ever heard was how too much of a drop it was. While the wheels aren't my cup of tea I agree with Kzang that there old schoolish something suitable if it was 2001 all over again that being said It's nice to see something different for a change do we really need to see another set of 469s.

This forum seems to be very narrow minded in terms of modifying the chassis. Every other X5 is on springs and replica wheels or stock setup with spacers. Nobody ever heard of BBS wheels I guess. 3 piece wheels are nothing retro. They are actually very current. It's just preference at the end of the day. These are like very simple looking BBS LM's but with hidden hardware. DPE did a great job on the design imo and given the room and offset the X5 can handle, a 3 piece wheel looks very agressive.

Or...this forum is full of members with different taste in modifications/styles? Imagine that.

You don't see me posting about how ricey or classless other setup are. I appreciate both looks. I used to have eibach springs and changed them because the kw ride way better. Other people dont see the bigger picture

Seems like you took offense to a comment that didn’t appear to be offensive. I know you’re used to people pumping you up on IG, but on this forum people tend to post what they think regardless. I personally don’t care what others like or don’t, I do me.

You’re right, I haven’t seen you post about how ricey or classless other setups are.

Now, can you share that part number?

I am not offended, but people can't explain why they say what they say. Just search x5 sideskirts from RW carbon or 3d design. I don't have the part numbers written down anywhere

This thread got very sidetracked. Everyone has individual tastes. I don't see the need in bad mouthing the mods one person likes, just because you have a different opinion. (Not directed at anyone, just my opinion)
Also don't know why it matters whether someone runs reps or eBay parts, not everyone is in a position financially to buy OEM everything. Just my opinion, again, not speaking about anyone. I always like seeing people's mods. It's nice to see the different ideas people have.

Kind of reminds me of my hre540's on my e39 back in the day when lips were in almost every bimmer had them along with bbs and Iforged wheels. Are you keeping the 491s for another winter?

Hre actually just re-released the 540 series since popularity is up bigtime. The 491 are the winter wheels since day one. Holding up very well.

Might have came off like I had something against people going reps or aftermarket but not at all as I pretty much have everything aftermarket currently on my F80. I enjoy watching others creative ideas regardless on what its cost and Im sure others can agree here. I just found it funny how that same person will contradict themselves about non oem nonsense what's even funnier is usually the ones that are the loudest will have M decals all over there car and swear an M sport is an M but hey to each his own right

What compression and rebound settings are you running on the KW’s? I’ve tinkered with mine a bit and I’m pretty close to settings I like with 8 compression and 9 rebound but I’ll probably try some other combos to see. I notice a big difference between my summer and winter setup as well. The settings I’m running now were dialed in with my 19” winter set on but are a bit firm with 21’s.

Looks like your ego and fame on IG doesn't resonate here on the forums and it's hurting your feelings. If you keep taking repetitive photos of your F15 like you do on your f80 on IG perhaps you may find fame here with many likes to pump up your confidence.

My original comment is my own opinion. If you post it on the public forums then you should expect both positive and negative reactions. It's not my cup of tea to drop a utilitarian suv into a station wagon look.

And it's my opinion to disagree. No need to start insulting me or my ego. If you can state your opinion why can't I?

Sorry dude, but you are the one that insulted us with remarks like "narrow minded" and insinuating that we don't know what bbs wheels are... I was just explaining that you will get both positive and negative comments here.
