So I just rev in m1, sport+ in neutral or park ? Then turn off and unplug or unplug when running ?

I think I did it with the car running to ensure they’re open. If you turn the car off, they may close again. I doubt if you turned the car off it S+, that when it started they would be open. At minimum it’d close them on start up again.

Just try with the vehicle running. This will keep them open permanently. It’s important to remember that even when in S+, they’re not just open all the time. They open and close based on revs. So this is the only way to keep them open.

I know when I start the car when cold .. it seems louder then normal ~ 1300 rpm. Are the valves open? I here low rumble and throaty revs. Once the car is warmed up, the idle drops to ~ 800 rpm. But if I rev to 1300 rpm, I no longer have the deep low rumble.

I just did this .. wow .. sounds like sport + mode but in efficient 😜

I started cold, went to sport+ and unplugged both plugs while car was running 🤣

I'll tape up the exposed ends in the morning.

Still waiting on BMW San Diego. They did acknowledge that the Dinan muffler is the problem. I was told that there is another fitment issues brought up from the East Coast, so Dinan is addressing it and manufacturing the mufflers...

Hope it gets resolved soon. I'll hold out my purchase until then 🤔

Will keep you updated. Alternatively, you can just have a custom exhaust or muffler delete with straight pipe

I was going to have it done but it's too loud for wifey. So Dinan is the perfect compromise.

I've heard the dinan in person, it has a great tone and not as loud as others.

Hey guys, I can't get my valve to open, I have tried everything.
It might be something wrong with it?
Any ideas?

I do have adapter for coding, just didn't want to spend $44 to open flaps

I drove in Sport+ for some time, came home and tried to rev 4-5k and still they didn't open

I have feelings there is something wrong with it
I will have dealer to check that with next service

i found the same and plugged it back in. the gearing is higher in efficient mode and makes a low resonance in the cabin. in some instances it sounds like an exhaust leak more than a performance exhaust.

Not really, when I hold my hand next to the tip left hand side I can feel hot exhausts coming out of it but nothing on the right hand side, I asked my wife to rev it and still nothing
