Continental ExtremeContact Sport

Anyone try these tires? They are new and wondering if anyone has tried them on the X5. Looking to replace my Dunlop Super Noisy Maxx GT.

I know the DWS06 are everyone's favourite. But i am in Southern California and no ski trips foreseen.

Looking for a less noiser, more comfortable ride.

I found them much quieter immediately after the install. Very happy with them and no regrets so far.

I actually prefer the Michelin Premier LTX over the DWS 06.

Are they quieter? More capable in snow?

The DWS 06 is an excellent tire and better than the standard run flats. For me the DWS 06 is a tad soft on the sidewalls and since the new DWS not as good in rain and snow. Conti did firm up the sidewalls with the 06 version but seemed to trade in a little wet/snow handling. But I'm being picky!

The Michelin Premier LTX hits all the checkboxes for me. The drive is excellent and noise level is very good. Handling in wet and snow have been as good as a all season will get. Only concern that I've heard is tread life and I'm not there.

You can't go wrong with either. Lots of reviews on Tire Rack for both.

I've had the Continental extremecontract sport tires for a few months now. Lots of grip, good ride, low noise. Not sure how they're wearing, but will find out soon when I put the winters on.

When I was in NorCal I got the DWS06 never regretted it. I did go up to Tahoe couple times a year so it was nice to have. Now in NY it's very nice in the winter. It's not perfect but perfectly doable. I have chains just in case.

Either way, you'll like better than the RFT'S. In went DWS06, but springs too all for about 2300 and the ride is great. Night and day from stick with RFT'S.

Also used to like Mich Energy's.
