Labor Hours for MPPK and MPE?

If anyone needs installations like that I can also ask my bro to do it. He's a Foreman at a local Benz dealer.

Have the MPPK in my hands but this envelope isn't making my X5 any faster without installation.

Called 6 dealerships and have been quoted $335+. by everyone. I have seen mention of $50-80 install cost. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestion on how to get a better rate. Being told that coding is $170 per hour.

Has anyone been able to install the MPPK themselves? Or do it remotely?

i thought that is no longer possible. the installer needs access to dealer software

Does anyone have a screen shot of the BMW manual that quotes .25 labor for the coding install that has been referenced? I fully understand that could be an arbitrary # that has been passed around the forum but if it is accurate I think that would certainly help anyone negotiating a MPPK install.

It says "Approx. 0.25 hours plus coding". I guess 0.25 is for the stickers.
