BMW Coding Thread

I just purchased the Bimmercode app. I selected start/stop off by default - but it stays on. I could get the light of the start/stop button off when starting but it still stops at traffic lights.

I also want to program my HUD - but I cannot find the option in the app to do it?

I have top down cameras - but when trying to select that ECU it is grayed out and says not available.

Any advise please?

Had a couple of issues and emailed the support. The guys are very responsive.

This forums is awesome, I coded today almost everything from the F15 cheat sheet. Thanks everyone for the help!

One thing I'm still missing, I don't see the HU_NBT2 so I can code to id6_light.
Does this means my car has id4?!
It's a 2016 F15 (2016 build date too)

How can I check the id version I have?

Car has older NBT Next, not NBT2 EVO.

Where are you getting error?

North American F015/F016/F085/F086 552 LED's lack cornering lights (unlike European counterparts). Instead, they use Fog lights.

Did you code NGHB using European values for cornering lights?

You can VO with 8S4 present?

Guys,

while attempting to read edit FDL and see all codes I get the following error:

The chosen token EST "c:\program~3 \TOKENM~1\E-SYSL~2\FREETO~1.EST" is no existing file. [C156]

While I understand the issue I have no clue how to fix it. Any help please ?

On the 2018, anyone was able to change the interior X-Lines using E-SYS? Read somewhere that it is no longer functioning. Please point me to right direction with E-SyS.

I have programmed memory for driving modes on my 2016 F16 using BimmerCode.

Now it remembers the Sport mode and ECO Pro on the next startup.
Did the "RR" sounds too...kinda cool.

I installed a trailer hitch (Draw-Tite -- the one that reuses the rear bumper beam) and installed the BMW tow hitch wiring harness (82-71-2-349-500) and the control unit for the hitch (71-60-6-889-589).

Went to do the coding and mistakenly added 3AC (folding trailer hitch option) based on some coding suggestions I saw on the forums.

Unfortunately, the car started giving an error related to the folding hitch (see attached).

I subsequently removed 3AC and cleared errors using Esys Transmitter. However the error remains.

Any suggestions?

I've got a 2016 X5 35i that I can't seem to get coded to unlock the doors at ignition shut off. Originally tried to do it via ESys = no dice. I've also tried using BimmerCode and even though I have the option to enable/disable it, it also doesn't work. Do I have some weird version of software on my F15 that doesn't respond to this coding line the way it should? All other things I've coded work just fine.

Which FDL option are you coding? There are multiple options. Also, how you code it makes a difference. There is both option to only work if car auto-locks doors as you drive off or works if it auto-locks or manually locks.

Premium Launcher. What's the easiest way to share the NCD? I'm not too experienced at this yet. I assume you need the whole BDC_Body CAFD folder?

IIRC for the Body it's a single CAFD file with a .ncd extension. You'll need to pull it from the ESys storage folder, which is typically C:/Data/CAF

Right click CAFD_000017BE & "Read Coding Data."

Then, add to post using cloud link or add *.pdf and using attachment option.
