Proper Offset

So, it looks like I'm just going to buy new wheels from tirerack. The wheels are 20x10 all around and the offset option I'm given is either 35 or 45mm.
I'm not sure which to go with and what difference it really makes. Can somebody provide me with a comparison of the two? I don't want to receive them and I have rubbing issues. I'm also going to have them install new TPMS, do I need to bring the car to the dealer to reprogram them or can any tire installer calibrate it without any issues?

Thanks in advance,
Jeffrey

Can't help you with the offset question, but with the TPMS you don't need to go to the dealer. When I got new rims w/ TPMS pre-installed, all I had to do was reset the TPMS in iDrive.

I have aftermarket 20” forged wheels, 10” front and 11” rear. My offsets are ET 35 fronts and ET 25 rears. Seems perfect to my eye.

So you're going with a square 275 tire setup vs 275/315? If so, just stick with 35mm offset all around for your 20x10s.
