Luminate STD Dash problem
Thinking about this and have a question. In a F15 X5, the STD Dash is rather dark. I turn on the fog lights regularly during the day to get it to have backlight since I use the auto headlight mode.
If I was to leave the headlight switch in the on position, do the lights go off after a certain period? Meaning they won't stay on if locked or unlocked? If so, may have solved many of our problems with dark dashes and no switch to keep the dash lit. I do see you lose adaptive features if not in the auto mode too. Perhaps coding can get that back? Net is, I want the dash always on so we can see it better but not burn out the battery like in olden days of leaving lights on. I did an experiment and they went off, but looking for more expert opinions Last edited by Wardman; 10-29-2017 at 12:11 PM.. |

Should go to sleep after about 10 minutes.
Wife has left the h/l switch in manual on before and all is well.

Thanks -
Appears I lose the auto leveling and cornering lights (think when the turn signal is on) when not in auto, but I can see the dash 24-7. Man, BMW frustrates you sometimes!!!! I'll be checking to see if that can be coded to the always on light setting. |
