I'm always in for what you think if you've had them both installed. Lol why would you be biased.

I don't know, because I am a vendor, haha.

I was about to write up a review about VTF, but been busy.

Let me do a short one then.

Eibach Lowering Spring
Pros:
- Maintain ride quality close or better than stock
- Maintain the EDC/DDC functionality

Cons:
- Static height (Which is roughly about 1" drop)
- Not available in North America for self-leveling setup (which Eibach NA will not warranty or guarantee the product)

H&R VTF
Pros:
- Maintain ride quality close or better than stock
- Maintain the EDC/DDC functionality
- Variable Height Adjustability

Cons:
- Not available for standard all around spring (Praying for H&R to hear us)

Hope it helps.

Anyone on here with the H&R springs like the ride quality on standard suspension? I have H&R on my F30 and they ride completely fine but it seems like most people here complain of the ride quality on the F15. I'm not sure that the Eibach 1" drop is enough for me but I don't want it to ride like crap and I don't want to spend up $$$ for coilovers.

I went from Eibach to H&R springs. Love the drop and the ride is great! No bumpiness as reported by others. One inch was not enough and barely noticeable.

I also have H&R on all 4 corners. I like the ride quality and stance. A little rough on bumps vs the Eibachs but I'm used to being low. Happy with the results. Also got it from RG Sport.

Thanks for the feedback. Rig looks great diesel. I've had springs, coilovers or bags on every vehicle I've owned for the past 20 years so I'm also used to being low. I just don't want this ride to be bumpy.

H&Rs on my F30 ride great. Eibachs on my GC SRT run great.... So if Standard Suspension is a 10/10, Eibachs are 9/10, are we talking 7-8/10 for the H&R?

Did I see somewhere that you can get the VTF on all four corners but its a special order and isn't listed in the catalog? Or am I just making stuff up?

No VTF for all around spring.

so it sounds like VTF is the spring of choice for those of us with DHP?

Correct, if you want to keep the EDC function.

Otherwise, full blown coilover like KE V3 is the best. But you will lose your EDC function.

What matters is if you have air bags in the back. While DHP comes with bags so does several variants. Eibach, VTF, dinan, and there another brand that is basically eibach rebranded all work with bags which just means it's two springs and two rear metal adjustable "links" that replace the plastic fixed ones that tell the compressor how much air to pump into your air bags based on how tall you have the links set too

Yes maybe a 7-8 would be a fair rating. I think you would be happy going with H&Rs

this is my first post here -- i literally just got my new (to me) 2014 X5 x35 with M Sport package (and a host of others) last week:

as i'm reading this - i don't have self-leveling; which should i go for? eibachs or H&R?

If you are fine with about 1" drop and ride quality is the most important, then I recommend Eibach.

If you want the looks or 1.5" drop and willing to suck up the ride quality, then H&R.

I personally would do the later.
Let me know if you want a quote.

: plenty of reviews of both. Two very different systems and depends on preference of drop and comfort.
