Cabin air filter Housing gasket

Can anybody confirm if the top piece of the filter housing that holds the filters, actually has a triangle shaped gasket embedded into it. It would make sense there is one to make sure it wont pull all the dirt straight into the core, and looking at the attached picture it is there, but mine is missing and i cant find a part number just for the gasket itself.

No gasket there.
If it will save a penny, BMW will do it.
But not going to your pocket, just to their pocket.

I know this is an old thread and being that I'm new to the forums I'll put in my solution.

I created my own seal because I was getting too much pollen in there and my OCD was killing me 😅

All you need is the following in the picture. Make a straight line on something metallic, let it sit for a few hours, pull of and insert into the vehicle side of housing using a soft plastic squeegee tool.

Just make sure that in some spots you
Male the line a little thicker so it won't run on you and helps it stay in place. This worked for me, no more dirty crap inside the housing 🤷🏽
