Did you know...?

I just realized that the armrests in our cars are heated

With "Carly" application I was able to adjust the heated temperatures of the seats and also both front and rear armrests. I still need to check if rear armrest works but the front was really warm today and drivers side works separately from passengers side.

Every day I find something new about this car Love it

That's a cool feature. Now I gotta see if I can code that in Bimmercode. Thanks.

I will check tonight but apparently rear armrest should be heated too.

I wish they had heated and cooled cup holders too like in my previous GL

What year did this feature start on the F85? You just put the seat heater on and that heats the armrests?

You trolling or you serious? Don't make me run outside and start fuc*ing around cause football is on lol.

Btw quick question anyone know if the Center console cup holders and cubby in the armrest cooled? Because one time I had a bottled water in my cup holder and it remained Cold for a longer period of time than I thought it would and also one time I open the cubby to grab some belongings and it was very very cold inside and this was in the middle of summer.

To be honest I've always been a DYI guy so I opt to figure things out by myself by simply reading or playing with shit but I honestly just don't have the time so that's the reason I am asking... in another persons thread @ that lmao

OP, did you have to activate this in Carly?

I have a 16' F85 and my center armrest does not heat up w/ the press of the seat heater button.

I have Carly; have not had time to play with it yet.

Don’t think this is an actual option. I have experienced this but what I found is if you have the rear seat vents closed the air gets blocked and flows into the center console. So techinically it could be heated or cooled.

Ya I get cooler air into the box but this will never translate to having a cooled armrest lol. Same goes with heat. You'd have to have it on max blast heat for quite some Time to get enough hot air backed up that it would warm through the hard plastic and the entire armrest to seem heated.

Hence #fakenews lol
