Navigation questions

I am looking for the following - any tips or pointers would be great:

1) Is there a download version of the navigation manual?

2) Is there a way to import trips and associated points of interest using the USB so that one can avoid punching it in using the iDrive?

Thanks...

I thought this was supported only on Android and iOS, not Windows phone

Garage List
You can use the Google Maps website and choose "Send to Vehicle" also.

You mean send it to your car wirelessly? Yes you can use the BMW app for that, but it's not necessary. You can send a google map search to your car from any platform you can look at google maps on. I look up things on google maps all the time and send it to my car.

I tried sending an address from Google Maps (Classic View) from my computer. Didn't work. I followed the directions from here: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/75505?hl=en. I used my email address associated with BMW website "Owners" login. I have couple of questions regarding this:

1) Is there a separate BMW Assist or BMW Connected Drive account that has to be made for this to work? I was under the impression that BMW website Owners login does it all. Is BMW Assist or Connected Drive a paid service?

2) Is "Send to my car" option available in Google Maps App or Apple Maps App?

Z.
