F16 Fuel door latch / jumper broken

Hi everybody. My clumsy arm broke by mistake the pin that jumps the fuel door.

Now, my fuel door doesnt pop up when pressed.

My stealership told me that I need to buy the whole fuel pocket (assembly), which thanks god is not that expensive (part number 51177297009, but I only need the cylinder jumper, not the whole fuel door component.

Any advice? Other bmws use a squared jumper that retails for 9 usd, but these F16 and F86 use a cylinder shaped jumper. What a problem!

I have the same issue on my F15.. did you ever get yours fixed?

Not really I ended up paying 69 bucks for the whole assembly and only taking out the latch from the new part to the old one.

Actually I found the part on turner motorsports for $11. It just easily pulls out too. A cheap easy bmw fix.. I'm shocked!

Shocked as well! I did not find it when I searched for it. I may buy one of that, assemble to the whole replacemente cap and sell it. Thanks!!!!
