I have not driven the car since but my wife has used it locally a few times but outside of that it has remained in the garage for several months. I came back from a 500 mile or so road trip this past week and I was fighting to keep it straight at highway speeds. 72-75mph a noticeable drift presented itself but 80mph+ was a chore to keep in line. Initially I thought it was the wind because of the weather or the crown in the road but it is present on all roads, in all conditions at any speed over 72mph. Any suggestions on what may be the issue or should I re-align now that the vehicle has settled or wait until winter tires are on and then do do tires, wheels and alignment all together?
Do you have this issue with the lane assistance turned off ?

Tire pressures differnce can always do that.

It is almost impossible to do a perfeft alignment.
A slight drift is normal, but big drift is a no no.
Front PSI is 42 and Rear PSI is 46. Cold.
It is a noticeable drift to the point where the vehicle tracks into another lane or will dart left to right and right to left unless holding the steering wheel.
Tough one there.
Were you on Asphalt or Cement?

It is very tough do determine on Cement since it has a lot of grooves.
But, if it happened on Asphalt, then your alignment is off for sure.

Sorry this may have been asked elsewhere so apologies in advance.

H&R recommends re-torquing the lug bolts after 60 miles of driving after installation. My question - should this be performed every time you swap out your Summer/Winter wheels, or really only for the initial installation?

You have to re-torquing the lug bolts everytime you swap wheels.

Need to get the alignment re-check then.

I did not try that. I have all systems enabled. Perhaps disabling them may be a way to narrow down the exact issue otherwise I may be needing another alignment now that the vehicle settled.

Have you tried lowering the tire PSI back down to 36/36 as recommended on the door jamb sticker? Tire Rack has a troubleshooting guide that suggested this.

This is a great suggestion at DeeO. Once I had my tire pressures at 41/42 psi and car felt floaty but was able easily keep it in a straight line. Then I lowered the pressure to 38 psi and floatiness went away and car felt much more stable.

Hopefully it’s a simple fix and adjusting tire pressures is fairly easy to do that doesn’t require you to take it to the stealership.

I’m guessing that our cars are so heavy that something so simple as tire pressures can affect steering due to available contact patch if the tires which may or may not affect camber/toe under heavy load/driving.

Reduced PSI to 38/42psi and still an issue. Shut off all the nanny features and still an issue. Darting all over the highway. Going to schedule an alignment and go from there.

Has anyone put a 10mm/30mm setup on a stock msport with staggered 20s? Would this be too aggressive or ok?

If you are really slammed, then maybe 30mm on the rear will be ok.
But 10mm is not enough for the front.

It will give you better handling since you have wider stance.
Tighter steering wheel, I don't think so.
Yoo will need to go with wider tires to do that.

What size rims were u running here? I have 20/30 mm front to back on 19 inch rims, the 20 in the front seems too much. But when I take them off for my summer set up I was wondering if 20mm would be too much for my 22inch rears and get 15mm for those
