Same here. Ironically it is much easier to take it out than to put it back on. I had mine painted and installed in a shop and the guy had to literally remove the protective shield at the bottom of the car in order to put his hand from the inside to clip it back.

hello all

I am having alot of trouble putting this piece back in. The back is a closed plastic shield so I cannot do anything from the back. I tried pounding it in with a rubber mallet and none of the clips will catch.

is there anything else I can do here? how do I epoxy the piece on? there really isn't a flat surface that I can apply the epoxy to.

Update:
sighs one of the 2 side tabs on the broad end has broken off. there is still one tab left and I am thinking the narrow side clips should hold if caught....

It's a really bad design. If tabs are broken - either ebay a new piece or use a clear waterproof silicon that is sold in small tubes - apply it in small amount on back of your current T-piece and put it back - it will hold. Silicon will set in 30min and will hold the T-Piece. Clear silicon is transparent and is not visible and can be removed if needed. It's not as messy as glue and it's more gel like consistency so you can stick it to the trim panel without much issues and remove later if needed.

Mine didn't sit flush either after I removed it to plastidip... maybe that's a good thing I can remove it more easily when I need to redo the coating on it...

Thanks, I have a caulking gun with a silicon tube and just used it to seal up the piece all around.

Be careful, it may fall off if the bumper hits the curb while parking. I learnt it the hard way.

OP bought mine $40 shipped on ebay 6 months ago.

I did this a while ago. I decided to spray paint them after failing to get a clean wrap.

Thanks
