That's what mine sounds like, but only over bumps, like driving off of my driveway onto the street. It's a creaking sound like the suspension needs grease.

Also, vibration on steering wheel at low rpm. I just hit 35k
Did they cover the front lower control arm under your CPO?

Yes. Thanks God.
Steering wheel vibration still present, but am changing tires this weekend for summer tires to see if that fix the problem.

Man, this is a suspension rebuild.....might as well quit on this vehicle...never mind the CPO.

Can't believe you have any confidence left on this!

Seems like LCA as there is another thread where multiple people have had the same symptoms and had it addressed by the dealer.

http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...l+noise&page=2

It's possible the creaking is coming from wheel bearings failing.

I just took mine back today because the sound was still there after replacing only the driver side. Apparently they only changed the driver side because when they asked me what side it was I could only hear the driver side. The passenger side couldn't be heard because the driver side was so bad. It got rid of almost all the creaking after replacing the driver side. The passenger side squeaked only under 10mph and was way less audible. I almost couldn't get the sound replicated when the tech rode with me today. Hope this fixes it when I pick it up.

Make sure you guys tell them that both sides squeak and not just the side you hear so they check and replace both.

So I just got a note from my service adviser: the front wishbones are being replaced.

So I just looked at my service summary report, and it's 100% the same as yours. The wishbones come in a kit, so they always do both. They also did an alignment on mine, and adjusted the rear camber and toe. Free of charge at that! I asked my SA how much the wishbones would have cost out of warranty. He told me around $1,500. I got lucky!

But that's not the best part.

I'm about 700 miles away from being out of warranty. I inquired about extended the factory warranty, and was getting a quote for 72 months, 75K miles Platinum for $5,799. Almost fell of my chair.

And if that wasn't amazing enough, my service adviser told me the wishbones wouldn't even have been covered by ANY warranty outside of the factory one.

Just think about it. You just dropped close to $6K on extending a warranty, and the wishbones go out and you get hit with another $1,500. I would have punched myself in the neck.

Seriously considering getting something else.

Sounds like a nightmare. I wonder if this will be an issue on 2018 MY.
