ISTA+ connection question

Trying to get ISTA to work on my MacBook Pro (M1 Max) with VMWare Fusion 13.5. ISTA will see the connection of my car via ICOM (USB ethernet adapter), but when I go to setup the connection, it looks like it tries to connect and then drops the connection.

I have both my MacOS and Windows 11 firewalls disabled and followed the setup instructions available on other sites. Network adapter is setup in bridge mode.

Thoughts?
