Hi new F85 owner - Very interested in the KW solution for ride height reduction and possible ride quality improvement.

Daytona Violet can you please PM me with your installer? Seems like a great price for this part of the world based on my experience with other marques. That include alignment?

Curious none of these threads mention corner balancing - not needed with these adjustable height dampeners?

I assume our the f85 doesn't have adjustable camber -anyone experiencing any drivability impact ? I realize the drop isn't that great, but last thing this rig needs is more trouble tracking straight on highways. Still adjusting to the unique steering feel...

Hey everyone question i am installing the KW's Monday and I'm wondering if you need camber bolts or bushings for adjustments, or will it fall within alignment specs. Thanks for everyones help and also if anyone has recommended settings besides the ones posted.

You'll need a camber kit (adjustable bushings) to get back to OE spec, particularly in the rear. Most guys here just live with the excessive negative camber.

I'm running KW's on after market wheels and just purchased new tires b/c the inside tread on all tires but especially the rears is trashed. my KW's are on stock settings. I'm assuming the camber kit and a new alignment would correct my uneven tread ware??

Do you have a part # for the camber kit?

I just looked real quick on ebay and found these. would this work??

What about front? I'm buying those redline ones for rear right now lol as for ride quilts with kw to me it's deff more harsh in the bumps then stock handles a lot better around corners and looks amazing I just have
To go back over my setting rebound and bump see where I'm at.. these ny streets r terrible. Going to do the 6/6 front 6/9 rear factory setting if it's not already that n see what It does.. these 21 inch 612 don't help either lol makes me think if I should even bother with aftermarket wheels 🤯

I grew up in NY, feel your pain… I found these and have had them bookmarked for a bit…

The rears are there too, if you want to go the bushing route. Folks have had perfect alignment after installing them.

Awesome stance 🙏🏽

Do you have any spacers ? When you get a chance, can you measure from fender to hub and or fender to ground.

Thanks 👍🏽

Alright so I still love this setup just as much as my original thoughts, if not more. I did mess with the settings a bunch and finally have it where I want. At first I started off too soft, which was great for around town but it was scary/floaty going fast on the highway so I had to find a balance.

When you adjust these settings you are supposed to turn the adjustments all the way to fully firm and then go backwards from there hence my descriptions below.

Front Bump: -6 from full stiff (was -8)
Front Rebound: -9 from full stiff (was -12 which was too soft, then -6 which was too harsh)

Rear Bump: -6 from full stiff (was -7)
Rear Rebound: -10 from full stiff (tried -9/-11, this is just right)

So I personally find this to be the best balance of everything. I learned a lot in my research about what bump vs rebound does to the dynamics of the car and it's been a fun process. I hope some people find this useful.
Decided to finally try to adjust my own suspension today, two years after the shop installed it as I didn’t like the ride at all. Found the shop had put compression/bump to 10 in the rear and 9 in the front while leaving rebound at 6.. this after I had complained that the factory settings were harsh. So basically they just adjusted what was easy to get to from under the car

Getting to the rebound adjusters took a bit of disassembly but I reset everything to your settings and now the car drives great much better on rough bits than factory and way better than the mess my shop had adjusted to, thanks for posting!!

So help my logical brain here.

The dials have a 0-5 selector. The settings people are saying are obviously above that. So does that mean you continue turning the dial vs leaving it on number 5 to actually equal a 5?

If I am on 5 now, and turn it + to 0 that doesn’t mean I’m actually on 0 but getting one notch more firm?

That being said I’ve read here you go to full firm/closed and then back off to get yo desired setting, you then turn it back X times and subtract that from the max number to get the setting?

Would be easier to go to full soft/open but I get that it doesn’t have a solid reference point from there

Per kw instructions your suppose to go full closed valves (stiff) which is clockwise until it stops and then work your way down counter clockwise.

Not sure if it works same if you start with valves open and try to close and make them stiff.
