X5 Only starts with a jump

Hey guys just purchased my first F15. It’s a 2018 X5 Xdrive50i. Had a low battery code so I replaced the battery. Registered the new battery using bimmerlink but the car bad till won’t start unless it has a jump. I’ve checked everything. I am leaning towards the starter being bad. Any ideas? I just bought the car at auction super clean. Very lite damage. Had to replace a fender and 2 wheels. Thanks in advance.

It wouldn’t be the starter if it starts with a jump. Where was the damage and where are you jumping it from? It’s possible the battery cables were damaged. What’s the system voltage before and after starting it?

Isn't there a pyrotechnic disconnect on the batt cable next to left side of engine? Has the vehicle been whole car scanned for codes?

I’m going to check the battery voltage now. Where would I find the disconnect. The damage was on the driver side. Just a fender and both wheels. I did replace some control arms. That’s it. I have a blow curtain air bag inside. Nothing else. Wasn’t anything major. Only dash lights on when I get it to start are the tpms and the srs.

Did you replaced the battery with like kind? Same type (AGM) & same battery class size (49/H8 or 95R/H9)? If you changed the type or battery class size, you also need to CODE these changes then register the new battery.
