Anyone has accelerated wear on front tires, outer edge?

I have 275/315 staggered setup on stock 20-inch rims. Tires are DWS06.
My rear tires have no issue, no signs of uneven wear or anything like that. However, my front tires have worn outside edge, it's very noticeable when you look at the full width of tire from one edge to other.
Both Left and Right front tires have exact same pattern with worn out outside edge. So it's not something happening to one side only (like possibly bad ball joint or broken spring and such).
Otherwise there is no noise, steering is firm and everything else is good imho.

I'm blaming alignment, like maybe it's positive camber or something? How much is alignment at dealer?
Thank you

Check alignment, but while they're at it, check for worn ball joints and bushings.

I have the same wheel/tire set up and experiencing the same as you. My fronts are pretty shot and was wearing faster on the outer edges to the point they're going bald but rears seem to have lots of tread and wearing even. Tires are 2 year old 30k miles so far. X5 has 47k and suspension is tight, alignment within spec, driving style is light. I hear it's common with our cars with dws06 but not sure what to make of it. I will he trying the vredestein quatrac pro tires next. Hoping for improvements.

This seems quite common, another family member purchased a 30d the same time I got my M50d, within 7k miles they had the outer edge issue. Fortunately I have had no such issue but I do keep the pressures in check.

My 2016 1 series destroyed the edges on certain brands (Bridgestone) within 8k miles, on Pirelli far less noticeable, if at all. Obviously unsure if that will make a difference on the X5.

What pressure do you put in?
I have 19 inch wheels and label says 2,2 bar in front and 2,4 bar rear, but that seems a bit low to me...

Thank you

I have noticeable outer tire wear on the fronts only as well and I have 275/315 on AS3's.

I had my mechanic check alignment and suspension and they couldn't pin point the culprit. They told me it could possibly be the wishbones, which were showing wear, but couldn't be certain that was the root cause. I did have my wishbones replaced under warranty about 20K miles ago, but I know these tend to fail.

Attached is my alignment report for reference.

I have the same . Front tyre outer edge wears faster. Tyre lasts 15k miles(Dunlop). Experiences over 65k miles. Don't waste money on alignment etc. It's just the nature of the car.

Same issue on mine as well. Had alignment done on new tires and still same issue. Replaced the lower control arms and the were cracked/worn so hoping that stops the excessive wear. If not at least the wheel response is much firmer and less slush over bumps and dips.

Most likely front lower control arms, had this problem on both the 40d and the 50i. Replaced the control arms and voila, problem solved.

I'm experiencing this now on my stock 20s pirelli RFTs. front outers worn on both sides while rears have even tread. I suspect it might be the lower control arms as I'm getting some squeaking at low speed over bumps while turning, but only on one side. a bit odd to see both fronts have identical tread wear.

The X5 is heavy, and tends to wear in an accelerated fashion on the outer edges of the front tires.

No uneven wear

After reading this I went out to check mine, I have dsw06 plus on my 2017 x5 f15, 45k plus miles on them, tread looks amazing and even. But I do run front at 38 psi and rear at 43 psi

how do you like the dws06 plus. I am thinking of switching out my RFTs to them, but still want to ensure I have good grip and responsive feeling on tread.

Dsw06 plus

Love the dsw06 plus tires! They hug the road damn good, handle rain like a boss, even had in ice and snow and didn’t worry ( I’m a Florida boy, so I was scared at first) they are quite and smooth riding. To date have had them up to 138 mph and was stable.
