coding soft touch turn signals

Forgive me from raising from the dead but for those that actually were able to enable the 5 blinks from expert mode in bimmercode but were not able to actually get it to work, did you go back into iDrive and see the 5 blink option to enable? I recall bimmercode telling me the same that it is no longer available/supported. In the F48 forums this is what they had to do to get the 5 blinks. I don't have my BT adapter to try myself but wanted to see if this what others did to get it to work.

I gave up on it. on the idrive it's 3 blinks and I tried that already with no luck.

It was active for a while, then removed from the BMW software. One of the things I really wish they would bring back, 3 is too short.

I changed the Daten file on my E70 to give us 7 blinks. The Daten file had to be changed to allow WERT_02 to have a value of 7 instead of factory value of 3.

Now, we are spoiled. Measly 3-blinks sucks.

I do not yet know how to do this on the F15 - the best we have is 5 blinks, now.

Lucky you have 5 as later model F15s get 3 and that's it!

Right. I am glad I chose not do a Software Update! I think I would have lost even the five blinks.

Hi,

I'm confused, I downloaded the latest pszdata as my wife's X1 F48 had to have a software update due to replacement of some parts.

I edited the relevant CAFD files and when I FDL Coded BDC_BODY, I had 5 soft blinkers and i-Drive unchecked 3 Blinkers in the menu.

I pressed 3 Blinkers in i-Drive menu, the soft blinkers reverted back to 3.

I then changed PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN back to the default Tippblinken_dreimal = 01 and FDL coded and i-Drive checked 3 blinks.

I then changed PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN back to Tippblinken_fuenfmal = 02, i-Drive menu showed unchecked 3 blinks but when I tried, I got 5 blinks.

I just have to remembers not to check 3 blinks in the i-Drive menu.

Try the same as me, code a different value, then change to get 5 blinks and test again, worked for me.

OK, I'll resurrect the dead. My 2015 F15 was easy to change to 5 blinks. I now have a 2018 F15 and I'm trying to get 5 blinks. Does anyone know how to do it in Protool? Any help will be appreciated. I hate 3 blinks.

I could get 5 blinks with my wife's 2016 F48 X1 25i but my 2016 F26 X4 35d only stays at a maximum of 3.

I know this is an old thread, for me, who knows very little about coding and am just starting to kinda understand it, can you maybe tell me step by step how to do this on E-Sys. The screenshot is great, but how do I get to that screen and change the value?

Can be done by bimmercode, for esys you will need a launcher.

Ok, it didn't work... actually there wasn't even the option.

I don't have 3069 in the FEM or even "BDC_ Body".

When I go into Expert Mode under the FEM there are various numbers (won't list them all) but it goes from 3067 LceTmsCoding2 to 3070 LciMaster.

I can search for Pia_Default_Tippblinken and it does come up, but when I click on it, it gives me the following options:

Einfachblinken
0x00
Mehrfachblinken
0x01
Custom Value..

If I try to insert anything in Custom Value it tells me that only 0x01 is available.

I guess I need to try and code it with E-Sys, but I would need someone to kindly explain it a little clearer.
