Delivered 35d Luxury Line in Sparkling Brown / Mocha / 451 20" Wheels
Just took deliver of the following today:
14XI xDrive35d ZLL Luxury Line 2LS 451 20" Wheels B53 Sparkling Brown LCMY Mocha Dakota 4CV Fineline Oak Trim 3AG Rear-view camera 4UB 3rd row seat + rear axle air suspension 5AT ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant 688 Harman Kardon Here are initial notes / impressions I made a mistake and ordered Fineline Oak Trim when I meant to order Fineline Pure Wood. A little disappointed as Fineline Oak is glossier than I wanted it, but I'll get over it. Took the one image when we stopped for lunch, but now car is dirty having driven from Champaign, IL up to NW Suburbs of Chicago. Will post more when it's clean. I love the look of Luxury + 20" - I don't see the value in the xLine or MSport (outside of MSport Wheel and Paddles) ACC Stop and Go is fantastic for both highway driving and a little around town congestion. However sensors got packed with snow and ice and stopped*working. Look forward to testing it everyday on the Kennedy. Pandora app is a little*inconsistent*and I have the Snap In Adapter which is pricey at $200 but makes for a clean visual integration. I really wish email and text would work with iPhone - Twitter and Facebook seems like a waste of time. I bought the leather key case as I had one for my E46 that was much thinner - makes a large key even bulkier*and has metal connector. Save the $30. Standard seats are great - didn't want to spend money on Multi-Contour Seats*and don't regret it so far. 3rd row has more than enough space for my 5 and 6 year old who didn't complain at all on the 2.5 hour drive home. I wish there was a better place to store the cargo cover when the 3rd row is up. Too early to push it and feel full torque of Diesel but got 27 mpg on return trip and may or may not have been moving a lot faster than speed limit. Very quiet inside - can tell it's a Diesel when outside but it's not loud. I was worried about summer tires in the snow (keeping old car til the spring as I can't get winter wheels / tires this season), however no problem even on snowy side streets / sloped driveway so the old car may get less use. Harmon Kardon is great - equalizer allows you to control frequency and turn up the bass. BMW Winter Mats are great - much better quality than Weather Tech we've had before although I do wish they covered the rear hump and had a 3rd row option. Still can't understand why I can't close the tailgate with the key fob... Next step is getting front windows tinted and integration of V1 which I'll probably have someone do*simply due to time. Any recommendations for the later in the NW Suburbs of Chicago or Downtown is more than welcome. |

Congrats on the new car, really wonderful. I got almost the same confiq except the colors.
As for Tint - I'm in Naperville, IL and have used Z-Tech they are on 34 (Ogden) about a few miles from 59-Ogden intersection. As for Tailgate in US models you cannot close tailgate with Key FOB. I think its only Canadian and Euro Models. Enjoy the car Last edited by rganguly; 02-02-2014 at 08:43 AM.. |
