2016 X5M questions

I’ve been looking around for awhile for a F85 for a bit. I think I’ve found a 2016 I may pick up. It’s a 3 owner all Matinence been done at bmw, and has 43k on it. What are some things I should look out for, or problems that you guys have seen? I see it quite frequently with higher end cars and multiple owners so not sure that bothers me a bunch. What are known issues if any really do these have? Thanks for the help

Should be good. Just make sure all the maintenance is up to date, and of course check the car fax. Reach out to your SA and ask him to run the VIN. If this car was serviced they should be able to pull the whole history.

The owner count doesn't really matter if you ask me. Consider that anyone who had the car before you spent more money on it than you did, and most likely traded up not down. With that mileage and it being a 16, it was/still might be under the original warranty.

My original factory expires in a few weeks. I've already extended it for another 3 years and 100K miles. 🥳

3 owner is weird for a 2016. At very least a yellow flag.

A hair over $8K. All the other providers were coming in at $6500+-. After some soul searching I just decided it was worth the extra $. I've had aftermarket warranties my whole life and I'm blessed to never have any problems. However, after reading reviews of the few providers who can actually warranty the F85 I was really hesitant. Didn't want to leave anything to chance.

Kinda weird.. only thing that justify that is if one of the former owners couldn't afford to pay for it and it got repossessed at some point of its short life lol.

Not trying to be negative but it's something to look into. Other than that if you have all records and everything checks out well you should be good to go.

Everything on the carfax shows to be serviced at bmw. Brakes were just replaced as well front and rear.

At that mileage, besides recall’s, it’s probably only had a set of plugs replaced... in addition to routine servicing...

Carfax is the place to start... but I would have it properly inspected....My concern isn’t so much maint... but to verify it has not had a significant repair off the record...

Worst case it’s two vehicles glued together
