I bought a device to enable carplay in my 2015, but from the getgo, im having an issue removing the cluster trim without damaging the leather dashboard. Any advice?

I am bit confused, why do you need to remove the cluster to install CarPlay box? Usually it is hidden behind the original NBT unit.

Even if you do need to remove the cluster it is very straight forward, just pull the plastic trim out and unlatch the cluster by using two L shaped hooks. Your dashboard should not get damaged in any way.

Yes, but I need to remove the radio and AC control in order to get access to the NBT, but in order to start, I need to remove the cluster trim. Issue is, it creases the hell out of the leather.

I'm with RED_Y. I have leather dash and have removed the cluster without disturbing the dash at all.

You do not have to remove the cluster to remove the radio or climate control. You remove the wood trim piece below the screen that runs the length of the dash but just pulling it off. Then that exposes the screws.

Let's say he did need to remove the dash? Does anyone have a link for that? Mine is "shrinking" and I'm starting to gather info for removing and having it repaired.

These will give you an idea... was what I was using as my resource for planning. Not exactly the same, but the X6M will get you close enough in terms of what you are looking at. It's a big job.
