Question Recommended dealer in SoCal for Isley Settlement

I need to get the X5 50i checked for oil consumption, which it of course has some.

Is there a recommended dealer for this type of work? I usually take my cars to an indie mechanic or do the work myself, so I'm not sure what dealer has the most competent mechanics. Considering they may end up replacing valve seals or the engine, I want to go to the dealer that will do it right.

My closest dealers are Palm Springs and Riverside, but I'm willing to go further if there is a better one.

Nobody can recommend a dealer? This worries me.

I've been taking my cars to BMW Encinitas which is not the closest dealership to me but have always taken good care of me. It also helps that my SA and Shop foreman are friends of mine.

Thanks, Encinitas is a 2.5 hour trip for me, one way, but if it turns out to need a valve seal replacement or worse, it may be worth it to go to someone that will do it right. I've never heard anything bad about Palm Springs BMW (closest dealer) for service, but I never had anything major done there and don't know anyone else who has. I was hoping there would be way more responses,. Maybe this question is better suited to a non model specific forum.

Has anyone had their 50i inspected yet? How did it go?

Not yet but I'm betting it will be a fight at the dealer. Lol
