Window one touch up is not working

I tried de-initializing and initializing (by holding the switch down for 17 sec then up after rolling up for 17 sec) the passenger front window but I still cannot get one touch up to work. All other windows working fine. Only one touch down is working.

Anyone had this issue before and what could be the issue?

Sounds like the switch, maybe. Is it the same when you use the master driver’s switch and also the switch in the passenger door?

Yes I have tried on both driver's and passenger's side. I don't think it is coincidence that both switches for same window is faulty?

Sounds like possibly a relay for the passenger window. Unfortunately I don’t have a wiring diagram

Not saying it’s the same, but on my Land Rovers little glitches like this happen when the battery starts to need replacement. My LR3 did this, having owned it since new it’s one of the signs I’ve learned over the years. Speaking of which, my 2017 X5 is still on it’s original batteries which feels like borrowed time.

But the one touch down is working fine. It is just the one touch up not working.

Where is the relay located?

Bummer about the one-touch up on the passenger window not playing along. Could be a hiccup with the motor, switch, or wiring. Check for any obstructions, and if that's not it, might be worth a chat with a mechanic to sort it out. 🚗🤔

I had a similar issue with a new to me 2018. No luck with pressing button to reinitialize. Would go down one touch, but not up if I recall.

I was able to fix it by hooking up my foxwell diagnostic tool digging into the menus and running a reset cycle on that window. Still fixed to this day, over a year later.

If I were you I'd try this before tearing into the cars hardware much.

Good luck.

Yeah, the Foxwell is a great tool for this platform. Paid for itself several times over in only a couple of years.

Thanks for the tips. I think I need to force initialization as well as it is not working manually. Unfortunately I don't have foxwell. I have Launch x431 pro. I will check if it has this option

Can you post WHICH Foxwell diagnostic tool you have that was able to reset the cycle of a window? If you do a simple Google search for Foxwell diagnostic tools...you get a large range in price and capability...posting which Foxwell model you have would be helpful to anyone considering adding a Foxwell diagnostic tool to their arsenal.

I have the nt710.

https://www.foxwelldiag.com/products/foxwell-nt710

I originally bought it for transfer case recalibrate, transmission fluid temp fill/change monitoring initially. Have used it to fix this window thing and diagnose a new (discovered faulty) spark plug.
