X5 F15 40e - Instructions required for charger port lock replacement

Hi all,

A couple weeks ago my F15 charging port flap locking get broken. It won't keep closed anymore, so I ordered a new locking mechanism and locking pin which are parts 3 and 4 in picture below. Now I'm looking some instructions how to change these parts, because I don't how to get access, mainly to part 3.

Already tried to google but didn't find any help.

You will need to remove the fender for this, see attached PDF

Red_y is right. Get some extra fender clips before you start

Damn.. this is what I was afraid of.. hate to remove any body parts or trims. Have to take a better look at next weekend

tlow98, thanks for the hint! Do you mean fender trim clips or is there other ones as well?

Have to ask from dealer do they have some clip kits or do they sold those separately.
