Bimmer Performance Center Electric Exhaust Cutout F15
We had a rather unique request for this N55 powered F15 X5. The customer wanted a little more growl from the exhaust but also wanted to be in control of the sound. The solution was an electric exhaust cutout. The cutout is installed in line with the factory exhaust system and a toggle switch is conveniently hidden in the cabin for the customer to access with ease. This modification definitely changes the sound of the vehicle and raises quite a few eyebrows.
Here is a little sound clip with the cutout fully opened: https://www.facebook.com/BimmerPerfo...4523772496805/ Last edited by Phil@BPC; 12-14-2018 at 10:12 AM.. |

Correct this is essentially having a muffler delete. This is a controlled cutout which allows the owner to select just how loud they want the exhaust to be. It is pretty unique, we are used to installing these on cars not SAV's.
