21 inch PSS set for sale
have a set of non-RFT PSS for sale. Original plan was to put on the X5 with the M wheels but plans changed. Bought them from a member and never mounted them. No plugs, patches or cuts. EDIT: I've measured with a tire gauge and the results go from 5.5/32nd (barely see yellow) on the outside shoulder channel to 6.5/32nds in the center channels (green). Pics Here Not really interested in shipping but will if I get no local action. Central NJ. Thanks, G

How much tread is on them? By looking at the quarter your using it looks like about 4/32-5/32 or roughly 50%. Can you confirm this? Thanks

Great tires overall, very much doubt these would last 5K miles. At 4/32s, and w/the softness of these tires, you'd be hydroplaning very soon in a moderate rain event.
In NY State, 2/32s is minimum tread allowed. That does not mean 2/32s is safe, especially when the roadway is compromised. Mine are relatively new and I have seen gravel penetrating into the tallest tread. |

I don't think you are stating facts about anything ...its just useless talk!
you are just trying to be a #### and mess up the OPs for sale thread and this is not the only thread where I have noticed you posting your unsolicited advice so just saying, perhaps read the forum rules and stop running your mouth guy is selling some used tires, no one is a breast feeding baby here that they don't know the facts or are'nt able to figure them out themselves ... |

I don't recall anybody selling 4/32s tires ever in this forum. It's a public discussion forum, not a chapel to pray. Your right to disagree, but also my right to state my experience w/these tires.. Which BTW I currently use, unlike you. |

I take my original comment back , there are some breast feeding babies here that do not get the context of a comment and for your information - BMW needs at least 4/32 tread left on tires for lease return so there may be plenty of people looking to buy them your contribution would be fair if the OP was selling tires with 4/32 tread and calling them 8/32 |

Personally, I think OP is selling a fine set of tires. Maybe for someone who only will use them part of the year due to living in a place that requires winter wheels/tires, you could definitely put these to good use. OP could even break them up, since most of us with 21" wheels like to keep a spare front and rear. |

We can all see who the "breast-feeding baby is here". Throwing unfounded "bombs" and trying to bully someone else from making comments on the tires themselves. BTW, there's no tread meter photo....just a coin photo. |

The bottom line is you should not have commented on how bad the tires perform at 4/32 - and how much longer they will last! and yes, unlike you I have driven on them on many cars with varied tread depth and I actually work and drive in NYC no one cares what you experienced in some remote town in Michigan move on and if I see you bullying other members I will be sure to point it out again! |

My reputation is 640 yours is 53. Enough said Get those tires and drive them on the BQE for a month, from Astoria to Belt Parkway. I seriously doubt you'd be above 2/32s, I. E, you will fail the NYS inspection. As for OP, my point was to disclose the limited tire tread left and not to say they were dangerous to drive on.. They're not. |

You’re both wrong!
menelaos, it appears as if you have an internet admirer. OP, GLWS. If I didn’t have a new set of summer shoes, I’d buy these for the next 5k-6k miles.

Was merely pointing that I have been around.. Not paying attention to "appreciates", really. For the record, I would not buy these, nor would I accept them as gift either . Cause I would have to have fronts at 5 or 6/32s for the XDrive to work properly. Quite a hassle. |
