Breitlings look really busy to me. But I prefer cleaner looking watches. That Panerai is nice.

Beautiful watch. I'm pretty set on buying an Omega Seamaster, I just dont know which style I want, I need to see all of them in person first. I love the blue faced "James Bond" automatic diver, but the black faced seamaster looks amazing also.

Believe or not, the photo doesn't come close to capturing how striking the watch really is in person. The bezel is solid 18K gold, not gold plated and the glass is sapphire crystal. As soon as I saw it I knew I was getting it. Retail on it is $3,500 but I paid less than that.

I got it from a jewerly store called Jared's. They are 1 of only 2 Tag retailers in this area. It's pretty new so some stores won't have it and if they do they may have one in stock. Right now I'm the only person in the state with one that's been sold by Jared's.

Here's the list of Tag retailers in the Boston area. One note about using an authorized retailer is that Tag will not honor the warranty if the watch is not sold by an authorized retailer. The retailer has to sign and date the warranty at the time of sale for it to be honored. Tag does not sell nor authorize the sale of their watches via the Internet (Breitling is the same way), that why you see online dealers only talk about "their" warranty and not Tag's International Warranty.

Will you pay more using a Tag retailer, probably. Will you be 100% sure you're getting the real deal and Tag will honor it if something goes wrong, yep.
I love Tag Heuer! Its my Fav Watch brand.

I have the CJF2110.BA0576 model from the Link Series. It is a gorgeous watch..though a bit heavy.

I orignially wanted to get the Carrera but its way too big for me.

C.D Peacock is where I bought mine, they are an authorized retailer. Probably one of the best places on Michigan Ave. to go to.
Although I could have gotten it way cheaper on Amazon.com(not sure if they honor warranty).
It was kind of an Impulse buy at the store, wasnt even thinking about getting a watch. _._

Btw your watch is nice, I saw it at the store. But gold is not my style. :P

I have a Tissot T Touch that I wear almost everyday. I also have a Casio G shock soloar that I wear when I know the watch might get banged up. I'm looking to get a Seiko or a Omega Seamaster.

Thanks. They had that watch also, it's nice as well. I already have a watch that looks very similar to that (not a Tag) which is why I went with the one I bought. I needed something with gold in it to "break" up the current lot of watches I have.

These are my 2 favorite watches that I where while I drive my 3. Sorry if they're not up to standards like the Breitlings but I really enjoy wearing these watches.

Here are some choices. Help me pick one guys. I prefer a chrono, but I can't afford an Auto Chrono. So I'll just have to settle for an Auto.
If you aren't really into watches, and it's more imortant to get the look you want, then go for the quartz chrono. I personally REALLY like that first Seiko 5 auto you posted - that's probobly what I'd go for.

Well, between the TT black and blue, it's no contest. The blue dial 16613 TT Submariner is one of the most gorgeous watches ever.

It's a very different watch than the 16610 Sub, which is perhaps a bit more versatile and certainly a more robust watch as it's all stainless. If you're going to own one and only one Rolex, make it a 16610.

I got hooked on watches after reading this thread and started doing my own reading. I just don't have money to become a watch collector. Give me about 15 yrs and I'll be back. Yea I'm leaning toward the first one. The Tissots look really nice, but don't they look like a formal occasion watch? Might be out of place on Jeans and a T.

I'm with DJon on this one. Out of the ones posted the Seiko 5 just looks better IMO and is still a good watch. The PR50's are a bit plain looking. My Tissot is actually Quartz but I like the style (its the PR100 flyback)

Thanks guys, I want to get the Seiko with a Blue Dial. Do you guys have any opinions on the Kinetics? They aren't true automatics but they also use wrist movements to power and can store power longer than an automatic can.

I've heard of a lot of problem with the early Kinetics, but the newer generations are bound to be better.

At the end of the day, it's still a quartz watch - sure, it's got the nifty, gee-wiz winding rotor that charges a capacitor (sp)...but i't still a quartz watch.

Why wear a watch when you can drive a BMW. Better spending drive a BMW than look at the watch.
