Putting in a order for RaceChip!

Ok, I have just put in an order for the RacingChip, http://www.racechip.de/ it seems like the best alternative based on what I’ve been reading from the members on this forum and also the experience of a lot of F10/F11 owners on bimmerpost, the posts from 42pilot are truly gold and i will be trying he’s preferred settings from the start. Be back whit a review when it’s installed in a couple of days.

Let me know what you choose and how it performs. I've been looking at this one as it is small, and I can removed it whenever I take it in for service. Small enough that it goes in without fasteners. It looks like an install that is at my skill level:

Company site:

http://www.der-autotuner.de/Chiptuni...0kW-258PS.html

Not sure if size makes a difference, but not having a lot of loose cables to tie up is good.

One of the reasons im going whit the racechip is all the diffrent mapings/settings you can do to fine tune it for your car but will get back whit a rewiue asap when its installed.

S2=D, S1=E is also very nice on my car. The throttle response is not as quick, but this one really pulls hard to a higher RPM. Flip to sport, and the motor really wakes up (wakes you as well). Don't be afraid to test different settings and be patient while evaluating.

FYI - none of the recommended factory RaceChip settings worked on my car, so hang in there and use the customer service as a trusted resource.

I believe you have xDrive35, right?
You can use the BMS N55 JB4 Stage 2. That's what I've been using.

r33

r33, your site states the following:

Due to DME compatibility issues we do not offer and have no plans to develop an N55 JB4 tune for the X3, X5, or X6. The most powerful tune you can use for these models is our N55 Stage1.

Is this correct?

That's only valid for the E-series X series.

I am claiming it because I am running it.
I have BMS JB4 Stage 2 with EWG/FF harness on it.
