BMW Floor Mats
I'm wondering if anyone has purchased the BMW carpeted floor mats found here:
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/46...TED-FLOOR-MATS I don't really need the all-weather liners offered in various places, but I'd like something a little more robust than the standard mats. My heel tends to wear them out quickly. These appear to have rubber about where my heel would rest so they seem like a good compromise. If you have them: 1) Do you like them or would you recommend them? 2) Do these have the velcro patches on the two bottom corners to attach to the floor? Alternatively, if anyone knows of a more robust carpeted floor mat from another vendor, please mention it. Thanks.

David, I have the WeatherTech front (one driver, one passenger) and rear (one long piece for the whole rear) floor mats with the included free hooks for the front (rear does not have or need them due to its shape). They are solid in my opinion. I got it all for $150 shipped from this thread: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=993246.
I also have the BMW cargo liner (perfect fit, not too thick). Here's mine: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...8&postcount=12. I bought it from getbmwparts for $100: http://www.getbmwparts.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462.

Coco mats would match nicely especially with Terra or Mocha interior, rather than the standard black mats.

Mine came with those mats and yes they do have velcro underneath. They work perfectly fine for me because I don't need all weather mats in so cal.

I haven't used my car much yet, but I have taken all weather floor mats and felt mixed when I drove it 2 times.
When I have my sports shoes while driving, I felt like it was skidding. On the other day when I had my office shoes, they felt good. I guess it might be because they are new. But I can guarantee that cleaning is much easier with these. |

Alright, so I seem to be the only one interested in these, but I went ahead and bought them anyway.
Thus far, I like them a lot. They match well with the carpet and sizing. I'm attaching some pix. The one in the car didn't turn out great. I was just using my phone. I did cut off the rubber tab that is on each mat opposite the metallic logo. You'll see it in the pix. There isn't any indicator to remove that tab, but they look strange with it on there. The tab just says "BMW", and you already have that on the metallic strip on each mat. They are very thick, probably twice as thick as the standard mats. They also have a rubber backing as opposed to the carpet backing that is on the standard. They seem like they'll hold up better. Time will tell. The driver side is about 1/2 to 1 inch shorter at the "top" end that fits up under the dash. I didn't really notice a fit difference as a result; I just happened to hold them up to the old for comparison. One nice thing is that each came with extra floor-side velcro circles, which I can later use as spares in case I ruin the ones that came with the truck.
