Can't turn off freakin motion alarm

I am so frustrated....I have my dog with me at work to take him to the vet later. He is in the back. Every time I lock the doors he sets off the motion alarm. I can't figure out how to turn it off....no mention of it in the owners manual and none of the methods mentioned online or in this forum have worked. So now the car is unlocked in the parking garage. It's pretty safe since I'm on an Air Force base but still. Can anyone tell me how to do it and how to confirm that the motion detector is off????

After turning ON the Alarm, press the same button once more. The alarm light will light up longer to show the disengagement of the motion sensor

I've done that and there isn't any change in the light. It does the same Blink as when I only press it once. On another forum someone said you have to lock the car then push the lock button on the keyfob again twice to disarm.

Thanks everyone. For some reason the only way I can get the light to indicate that the motion alarm is off is to lock the doors, then push the button twice more in rapid succession. Locking the doors then pushing the button again does nothing. Either way, I got it to work!

Thanks

If you have your mirrors coded to fold in when you lock the doors you will need to adjust the delay time on that in the coding and press the lock button twice before the delay period in order to disable. Then after disabling motion you would also have to press and hold the lock button longer in order to fold mirrors in. I didn’t like that so I reverted back to mirrors folding instantly upon locking and inability to disable motion.
